HOW DO YOU SAY.... IN ENGLISH?

SINCE LAST WEEK WE HAVE BEEN WORKING IN A MULTILINGUAL ACTIVITY: THE STUDENTS HAVE TO WRITE QUESTIONS IN 3 DIFFERENT LANGUAGES AS WELL AS ITS ANSWERS. WE USE CATALAN, CASTILIAN AND ENGLISH. USING  THE MOTHER TONGUE HELPS THEM TO CREATE LANGUAGE PATTERNS,WHICH ARE VERY HELPFUL TO IMPROVE THEIR PROFICIENCY  IN ENGLISH

ONCE THE QUESTIONS ARE CORRECTED THE STUDENTS ASK THEM TO THEIR CLASSMATES PERFORMING LIKE TV PRESENTERS.

TO READ THE QUESTIONS CORRECTLY IT IS IMPORTANT TO PRACTISE THEM AT HOME THE WEEK BEFORE.

Des de la setmana passada hem estat fent una activitat mulitlingue: els alumnes han d'escriure 3 preguntes amb les seves respostes en tres llengües diferents. Utilitzam català. castellà i anglès. Emprar la llengua materna ajuda als alumnes a crear patrons lingüístics que són molt útils per millorar la seva competència en anglès.
Quan aquestes preguntes estan corregides els alumes les demanen als seus companys i companyes com si fossin presentadors i presentadores de televisió.

Per llegir les preguntes bé és molt important practicar-les a casa la setmana abans.

THESE DAYS WE HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT HOW TO WRITE A RECIPE AS WE WOULD LIKE TO PREPARE A SMOOTHIE AT THE END OF THE MONTH. FIRSTLY WE HAVE LEARNT NEW VOCABULARY: COOKING VERBS AND UTENSILS KNIFE PEELER CHOPPING BOARD BLENDER TO WASH TO POUR TO PUT TO CUT TO MIX SECONDLY, TO LEARN WHICH ARE THE PARTS OF THIS KIND OF TEXT WE HAVE WATCHED A VIDEO AS WELL AS READ DIFFERENT RECIPES. WE ARE ALREADY WRITING OUR OWN SMOOTHIE RECIPES: LET'S SEE WHAT COMES OUT OF IT. MOREOVER I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU SOME DECORATION SUGGESTIONS, THEY CAN BE A WAY TO FINISH YOUR SMOOTHIE IN AN APPEALING WAY. YUMMY!
